A former nomadic street performer, Matt lives and works in Nipaluna/Hobart as a cloud computing specialist and singer/guitarist in Latin world music band Yacuruna. He is working on a Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) with Deakin University, completing the core units in June 2026 with high distinctions in every assessment.
Matt’s debut novel-length manuscript, O.D., forms an intersection of studies in literature, philosophy, and AI. A second completed novel-length manuscript, Tassie Style, takes this exploration further, experimenting with incursions across cultural divides amongst people of differing class, sexuality, and ethics.
